Parents seeking to get their children into Tallatoona’s Head Start program need to get an appointment setup for the coming school year, and soon.
The Head Start program is now accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year, and those who want to get their children from ages 3 to 5 years old enrolled should call 770-748-2844 to make an appointment.
Of note, the Head Start program is on summer break from June 7 through June 25.
Before turning in an application, parents will be required to provide the following forms and information:
- Copy of a Certified Birth Certificate
- Immunization record on a 3231 form
- An insurance card
- Proof of income for every adult in the household: TANF Award Letter, SSI Award letter, Foster/Kinship care letter or subsidy, unemployment award letter, child support, most recent W2 or income tax return , and lastly employer wage letter.
Head Start programs are located on Prior Station Road and at Steppin’ Stones on Houseal Street in Cedartown, and on Piedmont Avenue in Rockmart.
