Mrs. Barbara Ruth Cash Hayes, age 74 of Villa Rica, formerly of Rockmart, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
Mrs. Hayes was born July 25, 1947 in Rockmart, daughter of the late Ollie Cash and the late Ruth Roberson Cash. She was a manager for Dollar General and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Hayes enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
She loved her family dearly and loved watching her favorite TV Show, “Everybody Loves Raymond”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Owen.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla Bennett of Knoxville, TN and Shelly Lane Smith Hayes of Ballplay, AL; three sons, Corey Hayes of Villa Rica, Alan Hayes of Dallas and Darrin Hayes of Marietta; best friends, Diane and Justin Preston of Villa Rica; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral graveside and interment services for Mrs. Hayes will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery of Aragon with Rev. Charles Sutton officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 22, 2021 prior to the service from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m.
