Timothy “Tim” Purser, age 64, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023.
Tim was born in Smyrna, GA, on December 16, 1958, son of the late Rev. Clyde R. Purser and Jacqueline Whiteside Purser.
He was a 1976 graduate of Thomasville Central High School and had lived the greater part of his life in the Bellview community of Rockmart. Tim was a truck driver by trade and enjoyed mechanic work and music. He was a people-oriented person, was outgoing and enjoyed being around people.
Tim is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Zach and Ashton Purser of Breman, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Charis and Drew Rudeseal of Cedartown, GA; six grandchildren, Ella Purser, Hartli Purser, Henlee Purser, Abram Purser, Shep Rudeseal, and Andi Rudeseal; sister, Sharon Purser Whiteside of Cave Spring, GA; brothers, C. Randall (Dyane) Purser of Carrolton, GA, Rev. Keith (Brenda) Purser of Simpsonville, SC; and Johnathan (Crystal) Purser of Calhoun, GA. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services for Tim will be Tuesday evening, August 22, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Fueral Home with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Jonathan Purser will deliver the eulogy.
Tim’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour.
