Experience can be the best teacher, and that’s what local officials who are involved in the Re-Entry Program at the Polk County Jail hope will be the lesson learned for local residents taking part in a unique event on Tuesday evening.

The Re-Entry Simulation starting at 6 p.m. is open to all who wish to register in the QR code on the flyer below, with an opportunity to walk in the shoes of individuals who have experienced incarceration and the challenges they face in their experience as returning citizens they face with negative stigmas.

Offender Services Coordinator Lydia Goodson encourages all who are able to attend from community leaders to business owners and many more to take part in the simulation at Camp Antioch.

REMINDER FROM ABOVE: Those interested in participating are asked to fill out an online RSVP here, or use the QR Code on the flyer above. 😉

The event is being held thanks to the sponsorship of the Sheriff’s Office, the Reentry Services Division of the Department of Community Supervision, and the Sara Hightower Regional Library System.
