As the Summer Reading Sale continues through the end of August, I’m happy to introduce a new feature to Polk Today after a very late night and early morning of setup on the site.

Classifieds Ads are now available on Polktoday.com, and there’s already a few items available to look at thanks to yours truly. As of this morning, classifieds are in a beta stage of inclusion on the site, and we hope that our subscribers who support us with monthly and above categories will begin to submit their items for sale as well.

Click here to check out the classified pages.

This new feature will be open to all readers of the site to look at – just like other categories of free content available on Polktoday.com – but posting and managing new classified ads is limited to monthly, three month, six month and annual subscribers while in the beta stage. Click here to add your first item. And here to manage it.

Ads will only be listed for 30 days at a time for the immediate moment.

As we add new features, pricing for the general public will be determined and announced in the coming weeks and months as classifieds develops and moves out of the beta stage.

The ability to post in other categories of subscriber (currently three day to 17 day time limits) will not be available for the foreseeable future.

Subscribers who are in a specific “sale” category additionally will enjoy access to the classifieds to be able to post and manage ads as well.

Classifieds categories currently include a variety of items you can now list on Polk Today, everything from gadgets to golf clubs for sale. The listings also include real estate for sale and rent, job postings, and yard and garage sales being held around the community.

Note that at this time, I have created an initial list of categories available for items on the Polk Today classified listings. If you think I need to expand the list to include those areas I did not initially include, feel free to reach out to polktoday@gmail.com to make a suggestion.

I expect this to be the first of several features I look to include and expand upon in the coming weeks as the Summer Reading Sale continues.

Check back in the coming weeks as new developments are completed and announced here on Polktoday.com.

Thanks for your continued support of local news, and we hope those who have been waiting for more reason to subscribe will now think about taking advantage of what Polk Today has to offer you and your family.
