Drivers, pay attention!

Starting on Monday, March 18, the city’s plan to turn two intersections on North College Drive from two-way stops to four-way stops goes into place.

Cedartown City Commissioners in February voted to approve the change – along with the four way stop at North College/Wissahickon Street/East Avenue – and gave it over a month to get ready for drivers to prepare for the change.

Signage is set to go into place on Monday to turn Girard Avenue and North College Street, and Jule Peek Drive and North College Street into four-way stop intersections.

The change is happening ahead of plans this year to shut down a portion of North Main Street due to a required bridge replacement coming up courtesy of the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Check back for more details as they become available.
