The Polk County Police charged a pair after receiving a trespassing complaint over the weekend at a Johnson Lake Road residence, and one of those was being sought in a previous Hit and Run charge.

Ronnie Franklin Forsyth, 42, of 1603 Lee’s Chapel Road, Cedartown, was arrested on Saturday, April 10, around 11:45 p.m. along with Sheena Brooke Laroche, 36, of a Piedmont, Alabama address.

Not many details were available in the weekend report, but the arrests were prompted by a complaint from a Johnson Lake Road homeowner over trespassing by the pair.

Forsyth was previously being sought by the Polk County Police for a February hit and run that took place at the Valero gas station in Cedartown at 1408 S. Main St. A woman was injured in the hit and run incident.

Later, police caught up with Forsyth during a traffic stop and he fled and was able to get away from officers in the area of Johnson Lake and Judkin Mill roads.

Forsyth had been on the run for nearly two months from law enforcement following the hit and run incident in February.

Forsyth remained in jail with bond not yet set on felony charges of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and possession of methamphetamine. He also faces misdemeanor charges of loitering or prowling, hit and run – duty of driver to stop at or return to scene of accident – driving while license suspended or revoked, reckless driving, possession and use of drug related objects and two counts of obstructing law enforcement officers.

Laroche was being held on a misdemeanor charge of loitering or prowling, along with bench warrants from both probate and Cedartown Municipal Court. Her bond was set at $3,353.00.
