Polk Haralson CASA have partnered with organizations around the community from all corners of Polk and Haralson Counties over the past weeks to ensure that everyone is aware of the continued fight against child abuse proliferating globally, speaking for victims who in many cases can’t speak for themselves.

The City of Cedartown, the City of Rockmart, One Door Polk, the SAC of Northwest Georgia’s new location in Rockmart, and Tallatoona Head Start in Cedartown among others around the area and country that are .

The whole of the month of April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, an opportunity to remind the community about the continued tragic circumstances surrounding the thousands of children nationwide who suffer abuse in a variety of ways.

Whether it be from neglectful parents or caregivers who don’t feed them enough to physical trauma inflicted by loved ones, child abuse comes in various forms and hundreds of cases are reported annually.
