Patricia Ann Moore

Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Patricia Ann Moore, age 80, on October 15, 2020. Trisha passed away peacefully at her home in Villa Rica, Georgia. Trisha was a loving wife to her late husband, James “Jim” Moore, Jr., for nearly 47 years, marrying him on January 21, 1967. We knew her as a beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Trisha was born in Borden Springs, Alabama on October 15, 1940 to Mary B. and Howard E. Williams. Later, her family moved to Cedartown, Georgia where she graduated from Cedartown High School in 1958. Later on, Trisha became a hairdresser and spent many years of her life helping people look their best as she cared for them in this way.

Trisha was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved to make quits for veterans and take them to the Veteran’s Hospital. She often showed her love for others by making and giving away her beautiful quilts as precious gifts. Her quilts grace the homes of many of her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and was often found outside working in her yard.

Trisha is survived by her sister, Nancy (Bob) Gnau, nieces Valerie Thompson and Tiffany (Sean) Clarke, and nephews, Russell (Pam) Dennis and Matthew (Jan) Dennis, as well as eight great-nieces and nephews and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents, her sister, Carolyn Dennis and her nephew, Christopher Gnau.

A graveside service for Mrs. Patricia Ann Moore will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at four o’clock in afternoon central time in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Borden Springs, Alabama with the Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.
