Mrs. Clara F. Hackney, age 97 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021.
Mrs. Hackney was born February 8, 1924 in Polk County to the late Luther M. & Sally Malone Forrister and was a long time memebr of the Pine Bower Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husabnd Jack “Troy” Hackney, Infant daughter Janet Sue Hackney, Daughter in law Sharon Hackney, Sisters Dovie Dingler, Lovella Shiflett, Ella Forrister, Myrtle Camp, Tulane Spann and Polly Forrister, Brothers Luther Forrister, John C. Forrister, Dave Forrister, Bill Forrister and Ralph Forrister.
Surviving are her son Danny Hackney, Grand Daughter Lauren & Matt Carmichael, Great Grandson Liam Carmichael and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Clara Hackney will be conducted Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. graveside at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Kiser officiating and music provided by Mr. Bill Garmon. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral Hour at the Lester Litesey Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Sam Camp, David Carter, Greg Rowell, Adam Rowell, Dennis Forrister and Matt Carmichael.
The family has asked that flowers please be omitted and Memorial donations be made to the Pine Bower Baptist Church 100 Pine Bower Rd. Cedartown Ga. 30125 or a charity of your choice.
