Mr. Wayne Phillips, age 91, of Aragon, GA passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020.

Mr. Phillips was born in Aragon, GA on January 15, 1929, a son of the late Arthur Phillips and the late Effie Childers Phillips. Mr. Phillips lived his childhood in Aragon and the greater part of his adult life in the Atlanta area. He was a proud veteran on the United States Army serving in the Korean War and was a member of the Clairmont Baptist Church for close to fifty years. He had a great love for Georgia Tech Football and enjoyed attending the games at Bobby Dodd Stadium. During his working career he worked for General Motors, was owner/operator of Phillips Auto Parts, and also worked in insurance sales with Sepulveda Insurance Group. Mr. Phillips loved his family and was the perfect husband and father.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Holladay Phillips, on June 17, 2020; and nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his children: Beth Sullivan and her husband, David, Oxford, GA, David Phillips and his wife Cindy, Chicago, IL, and Teri Gordon and her husband, Hugh, Acworth, GA; his grandchildren: Seth, Zack, Nicholas, Ryan, Jonathan, Sarah, and Rebecca; great-grandchildren: Braiden, Austin, Samuel, and David; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Phillips will be cremated and the family will have a private graveside memorial service at Rose Hill Cemetery.
