Mrs. Mary Kathryn Frady Rountree, age 67, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020. She was born on November 27, 1952, in Summerville, GA. She was the daughter of the late Webster Mallew Frady and Lillie Mae Witt Gilreith.
Mrs. Rountree is survived by her husband, Herbert Rountree; children, Donna Leatherwood (Glenn), Paul Rountree (Chandra) and Amanda Watson (Marion); brother, Roy Frady; grandchildren, Jessie Hudgins, Jacob Hudgins, Derek Rountree, Abbigail Rountree, Patience Rountree, Katie Caffey, Emi Bentley and Dan Downs; great-grandchildren, Georgia Hudgins, Colton Hudgins and Landon Raybun; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rountree is preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Willie Gilreith; sister, Corabelle; and brothers, Eugene, Web, Don, Earnest, Leon, Billy, and JR.
The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Mary Kathryn Frady Rountree will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Youngs Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Brian McWilliams, Rev. David Ingram and Rev. Steve Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the Youngs Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Rountree will receive family and friends on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at Youngs Grove Baptist Church.
In accordance with the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CDC, social distancing guidelines will be in place as well as the use of masks are required for all services provided for Mrs. Rountree.
The family is accepting flowers; however, donations can be made to the Cedartown Public Library in memory of Mrs. Rountree, 245 East Avenue, Cedartown, GA 30125.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Eugene Brown, Billy Frady, Casey Frady, Robert Rountree, Tommy Lovett, and Peanut Lovett. Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Hudgins, Jacob Hudgins, Derek Rountree, Abbigail Rountree, Patience Rountree, Katie Caffey, Emi Bentley, Dan Downs, and Frankie Hudgins.
