There’s plenty of opportunities for youth this summer at the Rockmart Cultural Arts Center with their lineup of camps, with spots still left open to get into a variety of camps.

There are seven different camp options this year during the months of June and July, starting with the week of June 3 through June 7. Paul Craighead’s Pottery Camp I and Lisa Jones’ Georgia on my Mind Art Little Hands, BIG Art Camp open this year’s camp schedule at the RCAC.

Pottery Camp I is appropriate for youth ages 8 to 13. Georgia on my Mind Art Little Hands, BIG Art Camp is only for youth 4 to 6 years old.

Following that on a three-day camp for teens 13 to 18 is the Mixed Media 3-Day TEEN Camp being taught by Margie Monde.

Laura Padalik is holding the Georgia Flora & Fauna Little Hands, BIG Art Camp for children 4 to 6 years old from June 17 to 21.

The month rounds out with Cammie Valtierra for Pottery Camp II from June 24 through June 28 for 8 to 13 year olds.

July opens following the Independence Day holiday with Margaret Bearden’s Georgia Animals Art Camp I for youth 7 to 9 years old running from July 8 to July 12. Alongside that camp, Georgia Animals Art Camp II being organized by Peggy Cline for youth 10 to 13 is happening the same week in July.

Also, this year’s Theater Camp I for youth in the K-6th grade range is already full. This year’s performance of Disney’s 101 Dalmations Kids is already set for two shows on June 14 at 3 and 6 p.m.

Theatre Camp II following the youth camp coming up on June 17 through June 29 will be featuring Rogers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma this year. Spots are still open, and applications are being taken by email at therockmarttheatre@rockmart-ga.gov. Margaret Jacobs will be directing the cast of teens in 7th grade through 12th grade (completed.)

Performances of Oklahoma are set for June 28 and 29 at 7 p.m.
