Katherine Duanne “Kathy” Noland, age 61, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, August 8, 2023.
Kathy was born in Rockmart on August 1, 1962, daughter of the late Robert Frank Noland and Pauline Frances Austin Noland.
She had lived all her life in Rockmart and was a member of Second Baptist Church. Kathy retired from Shaw Industries after 28 ½ years of service.
She enjoyed cross stitching, was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboys football, was a NASCAR fan and loved all Rockmart sports. Kathy cherished her time with family.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by a brother, Duane Noland, nephew, Beau Woods, and a brother-in-law, Bobby Woods.
Kathy is survived by a brother, Jack Noland of Rockmart; sister, Brenda Woods of Rockmart; sister-in-law, Cathy Noland; nephews, Derrick Noland, Dustin Noland, Brent Woods, and Brandon Woods; nieces, Tammy Parks, Dana Noland, Nancy Woods, Mary Beth Woods, and Michele Noland; great-nephews, Tanner Noland, Luke Noland, Cason Woods, Ethan Woods, Emmett Woods, and Audy Woods; great-nieces, Derrika (Jason) Dunn, Skylar Ann (Austin) Huddleston, Gracie Parks, and Adeline Woods; great-great nephew, Lachlan Dunn; great-great-niece, Annabel Dunn.
Funeral services for Kathy will be Friday, August 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Kathy’s family will receive friends Thursday evening, August 10, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will include Brandon Woods, Brent Woods, Dustin Noland, Derrick Noland, Tanner Noland, Luke Noland, Cason Woods, Ethan Woods, and Austin Huddleston. Honorary pallbearers will include Emmett Woods, and Audy Woods.
Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements for Katherine Duanne “Kathy” Noland.
