Mr. Jeffery Todd Waits, age 58, of Cedartown, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023.
Mr. Waits was born July 12, 1965, to his parents, Mr. Kenneth Waits, and the late Mrs. Shirley Ann Waits.
After high school, Mr. Waits began a career with the HON Company, a career spanning 23 years. An active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Mr. Waits was true to his faith and loved Southern Gospel quartets. Known to his family and friends as an avid reader, Mr. Waits also demonstrated a love for 1970s rock and Alabama football.
Along with his loving mother, Mr. Waits is preceded in death by his grandparents, Burham & Malline Waits and John & Annie Wheeler.
Mr. Waits is survived by his son, Joshua Denton Waits; father, Kenneth Waits; and sister, Lisha Waits.
A memorial service celebrating Mr. Waits’s life will be conducted Friday, September 15, 2023, at 4:00 PM in the chapel of the Litesey Funeral Home, with Pastor Jimmy Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends at Litesey Funeral Home prior to the service from 3:00 PM until the service hour at 4:00 PM. A graveside inurnment service will immediately follow in the Northview Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as honorary pallbearers: uncles Frank Wheeler, Byron Smith, Lance Edwards, and Dennis Moore; cousins Tim Waits, Mark Maxwell, Chris Mobbs, Mike Brock, Sammy Pointer, Glen Allgood, and Donnie Galloway; friends Tim Puckett, Scott Farrister, Phil Astin and Tim Mull.
