Mrs. Gladys Shaw of Dallas, Ga., passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023. Mrs. Shaw was born October 21, 1932, to the late Leonard and Bertha Cochran.
She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Jackson, Ga., as well as a former member of the Red Hat Society. She was a Cedartown High School graduate class of 1951. During her spare time through the years, she loved crafts and traveling.
Also preceding her is her husband, James Chandler Shaw, and siblings, Sally Grant, Nell Brock, Paul Cochran, and Lonnie Cochran.
Surviving are her daughters Nancy Shaw-Newton (Jerry) and Chandra Wyatt (Charlie); grandchildren Mary Kathryn Newton Bass (Luke), Sarah Newton, Meredith Wyatt, and Jose Wyatt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family held a private visitation and Graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to one of the following associations of your choosing: the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, or the Suzan B. Colman Foundation.
