George Steven “ Steve” Edwards, age 69, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023.
Steve was born in Macon, GA on August 9, 1954, a son of George Edwards and Larue Moore Edwards. Steve lived most of his life in Macon before moving to Rockmart in the early 2000’s.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing softball, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandsons. He was preceded in death by his father, George Edwards.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Ashlie Murtha and her husband, Josh of McDonough, GA; two grandsons, Bradley and Matthew Murtha; mother, Larue Babbit of Byron, GA; sister, Teresa Edwards of Jacksonville, FL; and several nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, Steve will be cremated, and no formal services are being scheduled at this time.
