Dorothy Euvon Talton passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 10th at home. She was 79 and married to Hershel Talton for 52 years and was a member of the Yorkville Community in Rockmart, GA.

Dorothy was born at home in the Yorkville community on July 7, 1944 in Rockmart, GA to Edwin Iran Austin and wife Mary Evelyn Lawrence Austin. She was a graduate of Dallas High School, Class of 1962.

She was the claims manager for Coastal States Life Insurance, worked in the process leasing department at Pitney Bowes, and in the mortgage department at Lockheed Credit Union. She enjoyed movies, football, music, dancing, working outside, cutting grass and gardening. She is a Christian who always kept others in her prayers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, her sister, Jean Smith, and brother-in-law Danny Brumbelow.

She is survived by her daughter Heather Talton, son and daughter-in-law Chad and Amy Talton, and grandchildren Ryan and Kathryn Talton, brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Patricia Austin, sister Linda Brumbelow, and nieces and nephews.

She was selfless and always put the needs of others before her own. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family. We always loved going to the beach and having good times together. We will miss her smile, laughter, love, thoughtfulness, encouragement, and wisdom. She was a good woman who will continue to be loved and dearly missed.

The family will receive friends for the viewing on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 1:00pm-2:30pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. The procession will follow, where there will be a graveside service at the Yorkville Memorial Gardens at 3:00pm. Rev.
