Mrs. Charlene Smith Guice, age 87, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024.
Mrs. Guice was born October 15, 1936 to the late Charlie and Irene Smith. A hard worker at heart, Mrs. Guice worked for many years at Goodyear as a weaver before retiring to enjoy her hobbies at home along with becoming a caregiver to many people throughout Polk County.
She loved working in her yard, especially when it came to working with flowers and in her garden.
Being of the Baptist faith, Mrs. Guice embraced life and enjoyed it to the fullest, always being a positive, outgoing person.
Mrs. Guice was the rock of her family and held everything and everyone together. She will be dearly missed by all her family an friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Guice is preceded in death by her sons and daughter-in-law, David Guice and Ricky Guice (Teresa); siblings, Laverne Vinson and Darrell Smith; and son-in-law, David Patterson.
Mrs. Guice is survived by her son, Chris Guice (Kandis); daughter, Sherry Patterson; sister, Sonja Bridges; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Guice will be conducted Thursday March 28, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Chris Guice officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday March 28 from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour at 3:00 PM at Litesey Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Craig Guice, Deric Guice, Brian Guice, Shane Carnes, Austin Guice, and Dexter Guice.
