No one was injured and police were on the scene again investigating a second shooting incident on Central Street in Cedartown tonight.
Cedartown Police Chief Jamie Newsome confirmed the incident that took place in the last hour in the area around where a shooting earlier in the week saw 38-year-old Demetrious Brown shot and killed.
An investigation on the scene was underway, but no suspects were yet in custody.
According to a tip provided to Polk.Today tonight from a source who didn’t want to be named but witnessed the incident, several males were seen running from the area after multiple shots were fired. The group was seen running in the direction of Main Street.
Those with information about tonight’s shooting are encouraged to call 911 immediately.
