A 16-year-old female at a Cedartown address was found dead in the hours after midnight today in Polk County, according to police.
Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd confirmed the death occurred, and thus far it is being considered an apparent suicide.
It occurred in the area of Youngs Farm Road outside of Cedartown.
Additional details were not yet ready to be released, police reported. Information will be forthcoming when police are able to make it available.
It’s the second suicide reported so far this year of a teenager in the Cedartown area. Jesus Betancourt Torres, who was missing for several days, was found in an apparent self-inflicted death back in February.
