Mr. Billy Stanfield, age 82, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Mr. Stanfield was born on December 30, 1940, to the late Mr. James B. Stanfield and Mrs. Stella Shipman Stanfield.
After high school, Mr. Stanfield honorably served his country in the United States Army, performing a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1972.
After completing his duties in armed forces, Mr. Stanfield returned to serving the community as a truck driver for the majority of his life. A loving and devoted family man, Mr. Stanfield loved his family and was gifted in taking care of them.
He was also a dedicated and devoted member of his Christian faith and loved attending church at Friendly Baptist Church in Cedartown.
Mr. Stanfield had several hobbies, including tending to his yardwork and anything outdoors. Mr. Stanfield will forever be remembered as a loving, well-respected member of the community and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Stanfield is preceded in death by his wife, Debra Stanfield, and his brother, Doyle Stanfield.
Mr. Stanfield is survived by his loving children, Tony Stanfield, Angel Stanfield, and Starla Sheets; sister, Cathy Stanfield Lott; grandchildren, Asher Sheets, Josalyn Sheets, and Lela Sheets; and niece, Brenda Jackson Stanfield.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Stanfield will be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time.
