Mrs. Betty Jean Chafin of Cedartown, Ga., passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023.
Mrs. Chafin was born on September 9, 1945, to the late Hubert and Gladys Eaves. Mrs. Chafin worked in the retail industry and was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church in Rockmart, Ga.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband, Jimmy Eugene Chafin; sisters, Sue Eaves and Shenia Wester.
Mrs. Chafin is survived by her sons Jimmy Chafin Jr. (Frankie) of Dallas, Ga., and Antonio Chafin (Carol) of Rossville, Ga.; daughter Melissa Chafin of Cedartown, Ga.; brother David Eaves; sisters Linda Pope and Vickie Pegg; grandchildren Blake (Haley), Justin, Felecia, Laura, Kerrie (Brian), Ashley (Rochelle), Misty (Skyler) and Skyla. She is also survived by her special nephew Joe Hulsey.
The family will hold a visitation Monday, August 21, 2023, from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening at Litesey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Litesey Funeral Home, with Pastor Barry Snapp officiating. Graveside service will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Zach Pope, Jeremi Wester, and Ken Kimsey.
