Mrs. Betty Cobb Spikes of Cedartown, GA. passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023.
Mrs. Spikes was born on January 2, 1943, to the late Claud and Gussie Mae Cobb. Mrs. Spikes was a member of Victory Baptist Church, but she also visited The Calvary Assembly of God.
She loved singing, baking, gardening, and styling hair.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 56 years, James W. Spikes; son Kenny Spikes; brothers Luther Cobb, John Cobb, S.P. “Pete” Cobb, and Fred Cobb; sisters Elise Hicks, Mary Puckett, and Lola Squires.
Surviving is her daughter Pam Gammage; brother Phil Cobb; sister Ruby Swafford; grandchild Jamie Benefield York (Mitchell) and great-grandchild Leif York.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, at two o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home, with Jerry Buttrum and Todd Brown officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, from one o’clock until the funeral hour at Litesey Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Northview Cemetery.
