Mrs. Barbara Jean Jones, age 87, of Cedartown, passed away, Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
Barbara was born in Cedartown, March 8, 1936, the daughter of the late Allen Faires and Ruby Mull Faires.
Barbara lived all of her life here in Cedartown and had a great impact on all who lived around her. She enjoyed the simple things in life, such as reading and doing crossword puzzles.
She was, most recently, a member of West Rome Baptist Church and was formerly a member of First Baptist Church of Cedartown for many years. She retired after a long thirty-year career as a manager for Hallmark.
Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her legacy of love is cherished, and her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Raydon W. Jones, and her daughter, Beth Jones.
Barbara is survived by a son, Anthony A. “Tony” Jones, of Rome; and three grandchildren: John Paul Jones, Britteney Rae Jones, and Rachael Elizabeth Jones. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren: Derius (Braelyn), Miranda, Terrell (Deisha), Kyle, Ethan, DaytanAvery, Sarenity, and Zayne; and six great-great grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barbara Jones will be held, Monday, September 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Jesse Starnes officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour, on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
