Marc Riley

The Aragon Police Department is going to lose an officer who has served for a long time, in several positions including as Chief.

Marc Riley, who has diligently served through ups and downs within the department over the past years, will be turning in his badge and retiring starting on May 1.

The City of Aragon plans to hold a celebration in his honor on Thursday, April 15 at 6 p.m. at City Hall to honor the long-serving officer in an announcement made on the Aragon City Hall Facebook page earlier today.

Riley has spent the past 34 years in law enforcement in various departments, and wraps up his career with the APD after serving twice as the Chief in the past few years.

Mayor Debbie Pittman said that all are welcome to come and stop by and see him.

“He’s been a part of this city forever,” she said.

Check back for more on celebrations of Riley as it becomes available.
