Summer might have started off soggy and cool, but that didn’t stop local youth from having a good time on Thursday at One Door Polk.

Polk Family Connection and partners just moved their plans indoors to escape rainy weather on June 22 for Summer Fun Day 2023. Ferst Readers, local firefighters and police officers, the Polk County Historical Society, the Cedartown Library, the Cedartown Junior Service League, Tallatoona CAP, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Exchange Club all took part in the free outing to kick off summertime for families at One Door Polk.

Primary Healthcare also provided a health clinic for children following the fun had during the morning to midday during the fair portion of the event.

Along with games and goodies, local officials also took time out to read to children as part of the event.
