A new store has opened in downtown Rockmart, promising to offer customers deep discounts thanks to finds in abandoned storage buildings from all around the area.
StorageFindz over the weekend celebrated with the Rockmart Downtown Development Authority their new opening with a ribbon cutting celebration on Saturday.
The new store is located at 227 S. Marble St., Rockmart.
StorageFindz – which also has an eBay store for online shoppers – finds items from storage units up for auction and then turns around and sells the valuables hidden within. They are able to sell the contents for extreme discount prices.
Joyln Wilson, the owner of StorageFindz, is excited to now be open in Rockmart. She started her first weekend in downtown at their new location on August 2.
She’s previously operated out of flea markets and online for the past year as the business has grown and is now able to operate out of a permanent location in downtown Rockmart.
Furnishings, household items, tools and many more items that are found in a home can be found at StorageFindz. Bigger finds have happened too.
“We’ve even found safes and jewelry inside of units in the past,” she said.
Currently they are only doing weekend sales on Friday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
