Want to meet some of the folks who provide help to local farmers and organize the 4-H program? They’re showing off their new home in an upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony being put on by the Polk County Chamber of Commerce on Monday afternoon.

The public is invited to attend the afternoon ribbon cutting that kicks off at 2 p.m.

Polk County’s new extension office at 225 Main St., Cedartown, is a completely remodeled and upgraded facility purchased by the county following the move of Cedarstream from downtown to their new headquarters.

The facility was renovated and now provides a home for the county’s extension agent through the University of Georgia, and home to the 4-H program as well.

Those interested in finding out more about the University of Georgia Extension Office in Polk County can call 770-749-2142.
