Time is running short to get registered to vote for the upcoming November ballots, and there’s good reason to head to the polls even if you aren’t in Rockmart or Aragon this year with a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax up for an extension request.
Anyone who hasn’t already registered (you might be already) must do so by the deadline on October 10, 2023 at end of business. Those forms must be submitted to the Board of Elections office or via the Secretary of State’s online portal.
Those who don’t meet the deadline won’t be able to vote in the 2023 election at all, so anyone who wants to cast a ballot this year for local elections for the Aragon Mayor and City Council seats open this round, or the Rockmart Mayor’s Race or countywide for the SPLOST extension request should do so within the next 11 days.
