The opening night of the Polk County Fair has arrived, and there’s a lot to enjoy for Polk School District night.

Students and staff from PSD are permitted free entry into the fair this evening as the fairgrounds open at 5 p.m. and remain open until 10 p.m.

The Fair’s opening ceremonies around the main stage will include a presentation of winners of the Miss Polk County Fair pageant, which was held this past Saturday at Pine Bower Baptist Church.

Make sure to stop by the Polk Today booth and say hello this evening at the Fair to take a photo – I’ll share any sent over to polktoday@gmail.com – as well as sign up on our mailing list. We’ll be collecting names and email addresses for a special giveaway that I’ll be announcing on Sunday at the conclusion of this year’s fair in a video on Polktoday.com.

Include your name and email address on the PolkSportsWire and Polk Today lists for a chance to win one of the prizes we’ll be giving away for each site.
