Polk County Police took three into custody and found methamphetamine and marijuana inside of what reports described as a “dirty” home on Old Cartersville Road in the Rockmart area.

Reports stated that Houston Pointer, 26; April Reitz, 43; and William Traylor, 50, all of the Old Cartersville Road address in Rockmart, were taken into custody after a search of their residence found several baggies of methamphetamine, an amount of marijuana, and paraphernalia.

Polk County Police became aware of the drug possession by the trio due to tips from a suspect in another case.

A search warrant for the residence was obtained after Reitz denied officers a chance to look inside voluntarily.

Officers ultimately detained everyone, went inside and searched to find meth in two different bedrooms of the residence.

Reports stated that during the search officers found “garbage all over the residence, dirty floors, and disgusting living arrangements,” along with conditions where two juveniles lived. The Department of Family and Children Services were called into investigate as well.

All three were taken to the Polk County Jail and faced various charges.

Pointer was denied bond and remained in custody on the single felony charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Reitz was released on a $7,000 bond on a felony charge of methamphetamine possession, and misdemeanor charge of possession of drug-related objects.

Bond was also denied for Traylor, who remained in jail on a felony methamphetamine possession charge and misdemeanor charge of possession of drug-related objects as well.
