Ms. Mary Kathryn Weaver, age 89 of Rockmart, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022.
Ms. Weaver was born December 23, 1932 in Haralson County, daughter of the late Dewey R. Weaver, Sr. and the late Pearl Harrell Weaver.
Prior to retirement, she worked at the Aragon Mill and Tip Top Poultry. She loved listening to Gospel music, reading the Bible, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stevie D. Smith; brother, Dewey R. Weaver, Jr.; and sister, Shirley Weaver Deems.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Phyllis Smith of Rockmart; daughter and son-in-law, Shelia Smith Stanczak & Barry Stanczak of Powder Springs; grandchildren, Shannon & Jeremy Gibel and Josh & Jennifer Smith; great-grandchildren, Emma Smith, Ivey Smith, and Ethan Gibel; great-great grandchildren, McKinnley Garner and Madelyn Gibel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Ms. Weaver will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in Northview Cemetery with Dr. Aaron Johnson officiating.
The following gentlemen will be serve as pallbearers: Josh Smith, Jeremy Gibel, Ethan Gibel, Randy Smith, and Barry Stanczak.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Fairview Baptist Church in Rockmart, GA, Victory Baptist Church in Marietta, GA (Mimosa Drive), or a charity of your choice.
