Mrs. Mary Jane Channell Jackson, age 87, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021.
Mrs. Jackson was born on June 9, 1934 in Rockmart, GA to her parents: Otis Jackson Channell and Rosie McCormick Channell. Mrs. Jackson was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Anyone who knew Mrs. Jackson would tell you she was the sweetest woman God has ever made and loved her family immensely.
She was gentle and soothing and to her loving family and children, the best mom ever.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barron William Jackson; her daughter, Sonia Lagene Edwards, her siblings and her great-grandson, Lucas Brown.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her loving son, Barry Jackson (Keila) of Rockmart, GA, son-in-law, Eugene Edwards of Rockmart, GA, grandchildren: Latisha McNamara (Frank), Ashley Coleman (Neal) and Cody Edwards, great-grandchildren: Mary Faith Brown, Michelle McNamara, Sydney Jace Coleman and Emily Grace Coleman.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Jane Channell Jackson will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM in The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger Parris officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Roger Parris, Bobby Edwards, David Adams and Junior Channell.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM.
