Mrs. Billie Faye Head Cummings, age 82 of Rockmart, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021.
Mrs. Cummings was born March 26, 1939 in Polk County, daughter of the late Powell Head and the late Mae Sanford Head. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cummings loved cats and dogs and had a special love for her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Cummings on February 5, 2010; two daughters, Dale McClain and Amelia Hester; five sisters, Yvonne Head Cason, Dorothy Mershon, Jean Popham, Agnes Causey and Sonya Hillstrom; and three brothers, Franklin Head, Edwin Head and Harrison Head.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin Cummings and his wife Natasha of Cedartown and Robert Cummings of Bremen; daughter, Cecelia Roberson of Brushy Mountain Rd.; four grandchildren, Constance Curtis, Dreagon Gilley, Dillion Daniel and Ethan Cummings; and a great-grandson, Anthony Curtis.
Funeral graveside and interment services for Mrs. Cummings will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Cason officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Shaw, Dreagon Gilley, Bobby Cason, Philip Zuker, Alan Clark, Frankie Burnley and Frankie Hayes.
