Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Wesley Clower

Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Wesley Clower, age 87, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

Mr. Clower was born on May 26, 1934 to his parents: Douglas William Clower and Nannie Myrtice Coker Clower.

Tommy was born in Hampton, GA, but has lived in Atlanta, Smyrna, Dallas, Rockmart and Cedartown since 2011. Mr. Clower had worked for Mead Packaging as a machine operator for 32 years before retiring in 1989.

He was a proud United States Army Veteran and a member of Bellview Baptist Church for many years.

Tommy also liked to volunteer at Beem Thrift Store in Dallas for a number of years.

Mr. Clower was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan M. Purser and his son, Darrell Thomas Clower in 1981.

Mr. Clower is survived by his loving children: Becky Tucker (Rev. Danny), Barry Clower (Kelly) and Joel Clower (Kim), 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, brothers: Bobby Clower and Lonnie Clower (Shirley).

Funeral Services for Mr. Thomas “Tommy” Wesley Clower will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Bellview Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mark Purser and Rev. Danny Tucker officiating and a eulogy given by Mr. Clowers son, Mr. Barry Clower. Tommy will lie in state at the church from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Kody Holder, Kole Holder, Cal James, John Purser, Trent Lane and Walt Griffin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a visitation on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
