Mr. James Carl Raymond Formby, age 74 of Dallas, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Mr. Formby was born August 21, 1946 in Rockmart, son of the late Carl Raymond Formby and the late Wilma Gazaway Formby. He was a 1965 graduate of Rockmart High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Formby was retired from Austell Box Board Corporation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Formby; sister, Diane Mitchell; and a brother, Tim Formby.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Perren Formby; a son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Erin Formby; four sisters, Sandra Miller, Teresa Cooper, Brenda Jay and Leaanne Cothran; seven grandchildren, Shay Norton, Lacey Norton, Magan Brown, Caleb Formby, Timothy Formby, Melissa Ferrell and Travis Moran; and three great-grandchildren, Cole Chandler, Kaden Brown and Kindle Brown.
Funeral services for Mr. Formby will be conducted on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Formby officiating. Mr. Formby will be cremated following the funeral service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 6, 2021 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
