Mr. Floyd Edward Pilgrim, age 64, of Buchanan, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Mr. Pilgrim was born on October 22, 1957 in Rome, GA, to his parents: Doyce Edward Pilgrim and Ola Elizabeth Robinson.
Floyd lived the greater part of his life in Polk County. He was self- employed in construction and was of Baptist faith.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and watching baseball and football, especially UGA and The Braves. Most importantly, Floyd loved to spend time with his grandchildren, who he loved dearly.
Mr. Pilgrim was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 sisters: Barbara Mosley and Sharon Holbrook and his niece, Stephanie Mosely.
Mr. Pilgrim is survived by his loving children: Brian Pilgrim (Nikki) of Buchanan, GA, Ashley Pilgrim, Cochran, GA; 5 grandchildren: Rodney Pilgrim, Julian Pilgrim, Kiley Pilgrim, Amaya Smith and Jasmine Smith; Donna Waits of Bremen, GA; brother, Jimmy Pilgrim and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Pilgrim will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM in The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Colt Deems officiating. In keeping with the families wishes, Mr. Pilgrim’s body will be cremated after the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM.
