Mrs. Martha Faye Brewer Camp, age 81 of Dallas, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
Mrs. Camp was born August 26, 1941 in Rockmart, daughter of the late William F. Brewer and the late Helen Waters Brewer.
She was a self-employed hairdresser and a member of the White Oak Springs Baptist Church of Dallas. Martha enjoyed fixing hair and going out to eat, especially at the Waffle House. She loved flowers and bread, but her greatest love was her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Lynn Hembree.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Vell “Eddie” Camp of Dallas; two daughters, Michelle Camp and Christy (Joseph) Cummings all of Dallas; one sister, Eleanor Jacobs of Rockmart; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Mrs. Camp will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens with Brother Carlos Morgan officiating.
Serving as pallbearers: Dustin Partain, Nathan Avery, David Oliver, Carlos Morgan, Matthew Lee and Joey Shedd.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 14, 2023 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
