Ms. Linda McClanahan

Ms. Linda McClanahan, age 69, passed away, Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

Ms. McClanahan was born in Cedartown, Georgia, August 5, 1954, daughter of the late W.C. “Son” Timms and Evelyn Davis Timms.

Ms. McClanahan was of the Baptist Faith and a faithful member of Friendly Baptist Church. She was a lover of music and arts and crafts. Ms. McClanahan was an employee for many years at Cutter’s Corner Salon and enjoyed her work there. She found great joy in painting fingernails for others. Ms. McClanahan loved her family and friends with a deep love and her presence will be missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James McClanahan; daughter, Christina McClanahan; and brothers, Charlie Timms, and Jerry Timms.

Ms. McClanahan is survived by her sons, Joey McClanahan, and Sam McClanahan; grandchildren: Larissa Bolt, Grace McClanahan, Autumn McClanahan, and Aevorie (Dalton) Eason; great grandson, Jaxon Eason; and sister, Syble (Bill) Billingsley. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ms. Linda McClanahan will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of Friendly Baptist Church, with Reverend Randy Vines and Reverend Jerome Smith officiating. Ms. McClanahan will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Joshua Nichols, Dalton “Boyfriend” Eason, Jonathan Worley, Jonathan Davis, Paul Hunter, John Timms, Derrick Timms, and Noah Smith. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sam McClanahan, Joey McClanahan, Bill Billingsley, Jason Nichols, and Kyle “Stick” Helmes.

Her family will receive friends, Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, at the Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
