Mr. Jules “Vance” Voinche, Jr.

Mr. Jules “Vance” Voinche, Jr., age 73, of Cedartown passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023.

He was born in Cedartown, April 16. 1949, son of the late Jules Vance Voinche, Sr., and France Knight Voinche.

Vance has lived most of his life here in Cedartown and was a member of Cedartown First United Methodist Church and also active with Carrollton Presbyterian Church. He was a graduate of West Georgia College and was once a special education lobbyist, working to ensure the best education for all children.

He later retired from Murphy-Harpst Home after several dedicated years as the Fundraiser Liaison. Vance was a longtime member of Cherokee Golf Club and was active in our community serving as a current member and past president of Cedartown Kiwanis Club, He was also past director for Keep Polk Beautiful. His witty humor will be cherished by his many friends.

In addition to his parents, Vance was preceded in death by his previous wife, Jane Voinche and brother, Stephen Voinche.

Vance is survived by his loving wife, Donna Fowler Voinche; brother, Boyd Morley; goddaughters, Lindsey Lee and Edy Lee; nieces, Ashley Thomas and Kimberly Morley; nephew, Ryan Morley; several cousins, and many friends also survive.

Funeral services for Vance will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of Cedartown First United Methodist Church with Rev. Britt Madden, Jr. officiating along with Mrs. June Beck providing scripture readings and Mrs. Mickey Graves delivering a eulogy. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Vance’s family will receive friends Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the parlor of Cedartown First United Church.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Edward Graves, Andy Ayers, Andrew Roper, Clint Jones, David Thomason, and John Thomason.
