Mr. Joseph Crawford Blair, age 79 of Cedartown, passed away Friday December 8, 2023.
Mr. Blair was born in Logan, West Virginia, to the late Farley Blair and the late Edith Frye Blair. After high school, Mr. Blair attended Bluefield State College where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Later, Mr. Blair began career with Union Carbide as an Engineer, where he retired after 30+ years.
A very gifted sports fan, Mr. Blair enjoyed softball, fishing, bowling, and golf (playing normally between 80-90 at his best).
In addition to his parents, Mr. Blair is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Kay Blair; and sisters, Rose Nary Ellis and Geneva Blair.
Mr. Blair is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Blair (David Whitaker); niece, Claudia Ellis; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Blair will be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.
