Mr. Jimmy Lee Tucker, age 68, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023.
Jimmy was born in Rockmart on May 20, 1955, a son of the late Alfred Alred Tucker and Ora Barker Tucker.
He had lived all his life in Rockmart and was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy was a brick mason, working with David Camp Masonry.
He loved fishing, especially deep-sea fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Green.
Jimmy is survived by three children, Cristie Tucker, Jimmy Lee Tucker, Jr., and Scotty (Samantha) Tucker, Sr., all of Dalton, GA; six grandchildren, Christopher Lumpkin, Paige Green, Garrett Tucker, Scotty Tucker, Jr., Addison Freeman, and Sophie Tucker; four great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Martin of Cartersville, GA; three brothers, Rev. Danny (Becky) Tucker of Cedartown, GA, Billy (Donna) Tucker of Rockmart, and Wayne (Michelle) Tucker of Cartersville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Jimmy will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with his brother, Rev. Danny Tucker, officiating.
Interment will follow in Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Jimmy’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
Pallbearers will include Justin Caldwell, Joshua Tucker, Kody Holder, Lance Harris, Walt Griffin, and Cal James.
Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements for Mr. Jimmy Lee Tucker.
