Mr. James Larry Garmon, Jr., age 59, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away in Villa Rica on Friday, October 13, 2023.
Larry was born in Douglasville, GA on April 8, 1964, a son of James Larry Garmon, Sr. and Carol Ann Sheffield Garmon.
He had been a resident of Villa Rica since 1996 and was employed by Turano Bakery. Larry was a great fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs and enjoyed coin collecting. He also enjoyed fishing and collecting sports memorabilia.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Larry Garmon, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Shanda “Sandy” Garmon to whom he was married on August 13, 1983; mother, Carol Ann Garmon; brother, Tommy Lamar Garmon; father-in-law, Walter Radford; uncle and aunt: Ronnie and Jan Sheffield; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Bobbie and Greg Williams and niece Amanda Williams. A number of other nieces, nephews and cousins survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Benjamin “Butch” Tant officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Rusty Tant, Chris Tant, Greg Teems, Anthony Robinson, Cameron Tant, Charlie King, Monty Owens and Connor Teems.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
