A Tallapoosa man is being sought following a shooting incident reported earlier this morning after he told the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office he’d turn himself in, but hasn’t yet reported to authorities anything past their afternoon deadline.

William Lee Hodges, 40, of Tallapoosa, pledged to turned himself into authorities around 3 p.m. As of 4:30 p.m., the HCSO reported that he hadn’t yet come to the Sheriff’s Office to hand himself over to authorities on charges related to a early morning shooting incident in .

Hodges is 5-foot-11, 165 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is facing charges that include aggravated assault.

Law enforcement officials ask anyone who knows his whereabouts to please contact 911 immediately.

Hodges is wanted after he is alleged to have shot a man in the foot during a domestic altercation earlier this morning.

Police met with the victim at Higgins Medical Center in Bremen, who told them that he was hit during an argument with Hodges around 5 a.m., when the two had gotten into a physical altercation and Hodges is alleged to have pulled out the gun and fired a round into his left foot.

The HCSO additionally reported that Hodges had been in an altercation just hours earlier with a family member of the victim and the victim as well.

The Haralson County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
