Gregory (Greg) Wade Arp, 57, of Rockmart, Georgia passed away on February 8, 2023, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital due to complications of a stroke.
He was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to First Sargent Glenn Arp and Jean Arp (Davis). Due to his father’s Army enlistment, Greg lived in many places throughout the United States and Europe settling in Rockmart, Georgia after his father’s retirement.
For most of his life, Greg worked as a car salesman including the last eleven years working at Day’s Chevrolet Rockmart. He loved the longtime friendships developed at work with his customers and coworkers. Greg cherished his friends as his work family.
Greg truly loved spending time with family, taking beach trips, camping, fishing, shooting target practice, sitting around talking on the porch, and listening to music.
He is predeceased by his father, Glenn Arp. He is survived by his mother, Jean Arp of Aragon; his wife of 14 years, Lori Arp of Rockmart; his children (in order of age): Melissa (Eron) Smart of Cedartown; Jacob Arp, Ryan Arp, and Matthew Arp all of Cartersville; Jarrett Amyx of Rockmart; Ashlin Hayes of Cedartown, and Bailey Arp of Rockmart; his sister Sonya (Doug) Singleton of Cedartown; grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on March 5, 2023, at Day’s Chevrolet of Rockmart.
The family formally invites his family, friends, current and former coworkers, and past customers to celebrate Greg’s life.
