If you aren’t already wearing purple today, you might want to go grab a ribbon and show support for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

October is the month where organizations nationwide seek to gain help with ending the cycle of domestic violence that continues across the nation amid families and loved ones.

Our House Domestic Violence Shelter in Polk County is among those participating this month, and hope that you will consider donning a purple ribbon today to show your support for those escaping from domestic violence, and doing one’s part to help spread the word about the problem and ways to bring it to an end.

So consider helping Paint the Town Purple today and learn more about Domestic Violence Awareness, or consider sharing information on social media as well.

Check out more at the Our House Facebook page on how you can help.
