The Brotherhood of New Bethel Baptist Church are inviting everyone to come out and take part in a fundraiser event in the coming weeks that will help the church provide a walking track on property around the Collard Valley Road chapel for the community to use safely.

Mark the calendar for Saturday, August 19 and put aside a donation to enter your car, truck or motorcycle for the event to gain an opportunity to win awards and have a fun day of fellowship with enthusiasts from around the area.

The Car, Truck & Bike Show will be held from 8 a.m. until they call it quits for the day at the church, located at 3429 Collard Valley Road, Cedartown.

Organizers will be handing out plaques for the best car, truck and motorcycle.

Vendors are welcome to setup for a $25 fee. Those fees can be paid through CashApp or Venmo (see the graphic below for details.)

The show is being held as a fundraiser for the church to build a walking track on property they own around the chapel on Collard Valley Road.

Organizer Bruce Whatley explained the Brotherhood of New Bethel Baptist Church want to provide a safe area for people to utilize around the Collard Valley area. A rural area that is commonly used to get between Highway 27 and Highway 101 without care for the posted speed limit.

“We’ve a lot of folks who drive out here pretty fast, and it makes it difficult for those who want to get out and walk for exercise,” he said. “We just want to provide our neighbors a safe place to use in the area without fear of getting hit or having to get out of the way of someone speeding down the road.”
