Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Maulding, age 88, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023.
Mrs. Maulding was born in Rockmart on November 1, 1934, daughter of the late Luther Burton McDonald and Audie Andelful Hansford McDonald.
She had been a resident of Rockmart all her life and was a member of Morning View Baptist Church. Mrs. Maulding worked for over 31 years in the textile industry, retiring from Cartersville Spinning.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Maulding was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Fred “Tom” Maulding, on August 24, 2020, a son, Michael Hayes, and two sisters, Lonie Dunn and Lena Lee Turner.
Mrs. Maulding is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Greg) Sorrells, and Rhonda Williams, two sons, Lamar (Janice) Hayes, and Ricky (Vickie) Hayes; three step-daughters, Denise (Terry) Estes, Vickie Hayes, and Serrina (John) Moss, GA; two step-sons, Clayton Maulding, and Shawn Maulding. Twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Maulding will be Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Dunn and Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Maulding’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will include Shannon Hayes, Jonathan Hayes, Rocky Hayes, Shane McEntyre, Michael McEntyre, and Lamar Hayes.
