Dee Poland, age 94 of Cedar Bluff, AL son of the late Douglas Poland and Clara Harrison Poland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on February 9th, 2023.
Born in Ohatchee, AL on December 4, 1928. He served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1949. He was married to Ella Mae Morrison on March 08, 1952. He was employed as a millwright and retired from Inland Container after 38 years.
Mr. Poland enjoyed working on anything mechanical, spending time at his home on Weiss Lake where he was an avid water skier and tending to the land on his farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ella Mae, his daughter Rita Poland and two brothers Dalton Poland and Harold Poland. Survivors include his grandchildren Benjamin (Beth) Russell, Jennifer Russell, great granddaughter Kate Drummond, a brother Jack Poland, several nieces and nephews and special friends Ashley Baccus and Annaliess Vaugh Baccus.

The family will be holding a visitation on Monday, February 13, 2023, 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM, Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Garden Lakes Baptist church’s Chapel followed by interment at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Ben Russell, Jonathan Russell, Chris Spearman, Zac Chamblee, Kate Drummond and Ashley Baccus.
